The Easter Bunny Hates You

videos: Windows media 4.87 MB or mirror

Have you ever wondered about how Easter Bunny spends its spare time when it is not Easter?

Smacking someone with billiard ball in a sock is my personal favorite part of the video. I think stuffing a dead fetus in a sock would also do the trick.

Mr. Farty Pants

Mr. Farty Pants

I was doing some reading at my local bookstore and this guy decides to sneak one off.

It was quiet enough that no one noticed it except me, sitting about six feet away.

About fifteen seconds after he farted, he looked around to see if anyone has noticed it, that is when our eyes met.

He quickly turned away and sunk down like a turtle hiding in its shell.

I'll Sue Ya, Subprime Mortgage Lending Companies

As a long time fan of Consumerist.com, I always enjoyed the “David vs. Goliath”-esque stories about how individual consumers can empower themselves to fight against the poor treatment from Corp-America. However, there are times where I tend to think the consumer themselves are to be blamed for what happened.

In recent news, subprime mortgages are the topics of choice. So many people are getting burned by lending companies going under due to lack of repayment funds. Many of people got their loans approved by inflating their net income with or without direct intervention from the loan officers.

I personally don’t feel bad for these people.

To get approved for renting an apartment, the total net household monthly income must be three times higher than the monthly rent. In other words, if an apartment’s rent is $950 per month, you should at least make $2,850 after tax each month. Some management companies would require higher monthly pay vs. rent ratios. If you don’t have enough income, you can’t afford it. That is simple math.

In the land of “pre-approved, no credit check, no down payment, interest free till X year”, it is very tempting to get that satisfaction of instant gratification. However, it is really the consumers’ responsibility to do some reality check themselves. Even a fifth grader would be able to tell you: if your income is lower than your spending, you will be broke very soon.

But, I am not worried about these borrowers that felt they have been “duped”, because there is another thing that America is great at – Law suits.

Pat Robertson: Plastic Surgery Gives People "Oriental Eyes"

Through media, we often hear about how some Asians would get plastic surgery to make them appear with Caucasian-like facial features.

Videos: Quicktime or Windows Media

According to Pat Robertson,

"[Westerners] they got the eyes like they're Oriental, and, you know, it's all pulled. So, make sure you do it right. But -- it's -- that's one way you can go, but it'll cost you five or six thousand dollars probably."

I personally doubt (at least I hope) Robertson had any intentional racist motive when he made the comment.

However, when he physically elongated his eyes to illustrate his point, that is when he has crossed the line. Especially when he is suggesting as if having "oriental eyes" is some kind defect that one should be ashamed of, thus "make sure you do it right."
